QMS NZ Restructures Executive Team
New Zealand’s leading digital outdoor media company, QMS Media, has today announced exciting changes to the structure of the Group’s senior executive team, with the promotion of two of its key executives.
These promotions reflect QMS’ significant growth in both New Zealand and Australia since its IPO in 2015, and are aligned to the delivery of the Group’s multi-platform engagement strategy across digital, outdoor and sports in each of its markets.
QMS is pleased to announce current QMS NZ CEO Wayne Chapman, will expand his role to become Group CEO of QMS NZ and assume oversight of all QMS’ New Zealand businesses, including Digital Commons, QMS Sport and Omnigraphics. A seasoned media and advertising professional, Wayne has been integral to the development and success of the QMS media business in New Zealand following the acquisition of iSite in 2015.
Reporting to QMS Media Group CEO Barclay Nettlefold, Wayne will assume immediate responsibility of each of the businesses and enable the Group CEO to dedicate a greater degree of focus on the strategic direction and future growth opportunities of the QMS Media Group as a whole.
Wayne’s expanded remit, sees Mike Porter, current COO of QMS NZ promoted to CEO of the media business. With more than 12 years’ experience in outdoor advertising, Mike will be instrumental in driving the media business through substantial growth and transformational change, including the continual advancement of QMS NZ’s innovation suite, comprising Datalab 2.0 and recent automated trading initiatives.
I am really excited about the future direction of the QMS Group of businesses in New Zealand. These executive changes are a reflection of the integral role that both Wayne and Mike have played in the establishment and direction of QMS in this market, since the acquisition of iSite. I look forward to the many exciting growth opportunities that lie ahead for the QMS Media Group both locally in New Zealand as well as internationally.
